It's high time you took a trip on a new Boeing aircraft. We continue to add to our fleet with the latest planes in the business. In early April we added a new Boeing 737-900ER – the fifth such aircraft added to our fleet this year.
Not only are we adding “next-generation” aircraft, but the 737-900ER is at least 25 percent more fuel-efficient per seat than the Boeing 737-500 aircraft that we currently operate.
The new 737-900ER aircraft is configured with the following seats:
- 20 United First
- 51 Economy Plus
- 96 United Economy
And we're not stopping there. Our 2012 fleet renewal plan calls for six 737 deliveries in the second quarter and nine more in the second half.
While the impending arrival of our first Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is capturing worldwide attention, our new 737s play an integral role in improving the efficiency of our domestic narrow-body fleet.
The next time you go to book a ticket online with United, look for the 737-900ER in the Flight Search details and try out our new ride.
