Last week, we took delivery of a new Boeing 737-900ER, and we will be receiving two more this month. So far in 2012, we have introduced 12 new 737-900ER aircraft.
These new aircraft feature the eye-catching Boeing Sky Interior, modeled after the interior of the 787 Dreamliner. When you fly on one of these next-generation 737s, you’ll also notice some great cabin enhancements including speakers in every row to make it easier to hear our cabin announcements, more spacious overhead bins to accommodate your carry-on items, brighter reading lights and softer cabin lighting. The planes also incorporate technology that allows for improved ventilation and cabin noise reduction.
In addition to the in-cabin features, these 737s are equipped with winglets that help make the aircraft at least 25 percent more fuel efficient per seat than the 737-500s we are retiring this year. Every seat on the plane comes with in-seat power, so you can plug in your electronics, and in the coming months we will add DIRECTV®

that we offer.
The next time you’re on one of our planes, take a look around the cabin and out the window at the wings. You just may be flying a brand new one.
