If you have plans to travel in United Economy® or Economy Plus® on international trans-Pacific flights, intra-Asia flights and Micronesia flights, you’ll notice that we now offer complimentary beer, wine and sparkling wine. We also offer complimentary sake on flights between the mainland U.S. and Japan. You may purchase spirits, liqueurs and cognac wherever you fly.
Note: Our newly aligned drinks policy includes flights from Guam to and from Honolulu.
As of October 1, we accept Visa® and all other major credit cards for all inflight purchases worldwide, including MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club®, as well as debit cards bearing Visa or MasterCard logos. As part of the alignment of all flights throughout our system, we no longer accept cash.
”We recognize our customers appreciate consistent travel experiences on all United flights, and are pleased to offer aligned drink and cashless policies in Pacific and Micronesia markets as part of our ongoing efforts to harmonize quality products and services”, says Jane Bernier-Tran, Managing Director of Food and Beverage Planning and Design at United’s Food Services division.
