If you’re looking for travel-related information, the Ask Alex virtual expert provides answers to questions and guides you to related Web pages.
Since 2009, customers who use Continental’s website for travel have saved time by going to Alex first when they have questions and want to find answers quickly and easily.
With the transition to the unified United website on March 3, 2012, Alex continues to fill a valuable customer-support role. For United customers, this represents a great opportunity to save time, by checking to see if Alex has the answers within seconds of asking.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor to the unified website or you book travel with us frequently, Alex can help before, during and after your trip.

To get started with Alex, go to united.com and select the Ask Alex image in the top-right corner of the home page. This action opens a dedicated Ask Alex window.
If you have the sound turned up on your computer, you’ll hear Alex greet you and invite you to type your query into the text box. Within that window, you can read Alex’s welcome message and a request for your text input.
Type in a question, or, if you don’t have something specific to ask, simply enter a phrase or keywords. After you've entered text, select the Ask Alex button for results. With your typed input as a guide, Alex responds in both written and spoken format, her answer appearing in the window. The relevant Web page automatically opens in your browser and you will see additional links that help you complete your task or get more information.
