Teaming up for a TSA Pre✓® enrollment event at Penn Station - United Hub

We team up with TSA for a TSA Pre✓® enrollment event at Penn Station

By The Hub team, December 30, 2019

Starting January 13, we will host a TSA Pre✓® enrollment event at our ticketing office located at Penn Station. This TSA Pre✓® enrollment event will run from January 13 until December 18, 2020, Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. CLEAR registration will also be available at this time. Complete an online application and schedule your appointment here.

MileagePlus® members may use 10,000 miles for a payment code that covers the TSA Pre✓® fee for new and renewal applications.

Or, if you're a UnitedSM Explorer Cardmember, you get an $85 TSA Pre✓® fee credit every 4 years when you pay with your Card. See United.com/ExplorerBenefits.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) manages and operates an expedited security screening program, allowing certain travelers to move through security more quickly and easily when departing from participating airports in the U.S. Eligible travelers do not need to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts or light jackets. Children ages 12 and under may accompany an eligible traveler through TSA Pre✓®. TSA, not United, selects travelers for expedited screening.

The ultimate travel experience

CLEAR is a service that can be used with TSA Pre✓® to get you through airport security even faster – so you can enjoy the best of both! Here's how it works:

CLEAR

Instead of waiting in line to show your physical ID, use the dedicated CLEAR Lane to quickly confirm your identity with a blink or tap.

TSA Pre✓®

Once you're CLEAR, our friendly Ambassadors will escort you straight to physical screening, where you can enjoy the benefits of TSA Pre✓® (shoes on, laptop away, etc.).

United cargo-only flights transport critical goods

By The Hub team

When the pandemic began, United Cargo knew it would be critical to utilize its fleet, network and industry-leading pharmaceutical handling processes to transport a COVID-19 vaccine when the time came.

Connecting vaccines to the world: United responds to mass distribution effort

December 22, 2020

On November 27, United Airlines became the first commercial airline to safely deliver the first batch of Pfizer and BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine into the U.S. thanks to a coordinated effort between United's cargo, safety, technical operations, flight operations, regulatory and legal teams.

Now as the entire shipping and logistics industry bands together to widely distribute vaccines, United is leveraging all of its flights, including cargo-only and those carrying passengers, to transport millions of vaccines to destinations throughout our network, including Honolulu, Guam and Saipan – the first of any carrier to do so.

Why we fly

By The Hub team, November 27, 2020

In October 2019, we launched a first-of-its-kind airline miles donation platform, Miles on a Mission. In the inaugural year, MileagePlus members donated over 70 million miles, with United matching over 20 million miles, to 51 organizations. These miles have allowed for these organizations to do important, life-changing, life-saving work in the communities we serve around the globe.
