Entrepreneurs and sisters Kelsey and Courtney Montague create large scale, interactive street murals around the world. Each piece provides an opportunity for people to become a ‘living work of art.’ Participants are encouraged to post pictures with the work on social media under the hashtag #whatliftsyou, and share what is important in their lives. Montague’s art has been featured by Good Morning America, The Wall Street Journal, The Smithsonian, Forbes, Instagram and Taylor Swift. Kelsey is the artist who designs and creates the pieces while Courtney runs the business side of the company and assists on mural days. Both believe that art should not be separated from the human experience. Instead the human experience should have a hand in creating the art itself.
