Just across the Hudson River — within eyeshot of the Manhattan skyline — we have been hard at work creating the East Coast's premier airline hub and the New York area's best airport experience. And if you haven't flown out of Newark Liberty International Airport recently, you don't know what you're missing.

With more than $2 billion invested over the past few years, United, in partnership with the concession management company OTG, has turned Newark's Terminal C into a destination unto itself. Home to dozens of specialty dining options, several of which were imagined by renowned culinary artists like Chef Alain Ducasse (whose restaurant at the Dorchester hotel in London was awarded three Michelin stars), Alex Stupak, Mario Carbone, Alex Guarnaschelli and Dale Talde, you'll find some of the area's finest cuisine just steps away from your gate. And not for nothing, NJ.com recently named Tacquila, home to delicious street tacos, a tequila barone and one of Terminal C's newest additions, the "best-stocked bar" in the state. How's that for pre-flight cocktails? If you're looking for fresh, locally sourced food stop by DAILY, the only airport restauarant in the world where the entire menu changes daily, emphasizing local ingredients at peak freshness.

Fancy airport digs aside, we've also grown our route network from Newark by leaps and bounds, serving more domestic and international destinations from the New York area than any other carrier. United operates nearly 400 daily flights out of Newark, including more than 30 daily flights to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central and South America, and five daily nonstop flights to London with a sixth seasonal nonstop flight from April 5 to October 28. Not only are we getting you where you want to go, we're doing it more reliably than ever before: in 2016 we achieved the best on-time performance and the fewest cancellations in company history.

And while New York might be the city that never sleeps, we've taken the opposite approach for our business travelers thanks to our newly launched United PolarisSM international business class experience. We now offer more lie-flat seats than our competitors along with a bevy of inflight amenities all developed with one goal in mind: to give you the best, most restful night's sleep you can get on an airplane.

New Yorkers don't settle for second-best and neither do we; that's why we're on a mission to be the best airline in the region and your top choice when you fly. Closer to more of Manhattan than JFK International Airport, we are well-positioned at Newark and at New York LaGuardia Airport to make that happen. Or as we like to say, "More flights from Newark, less traffic from New York."
