Rhapsody Remastered (the "Program") TERMS AND CONDITIONS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER. INTERNET ACCESS IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION. There are no prizes awarded in the Program.

The Program begins at 12:01 am Eastern Time ("ET") on October 24th, 2018 and ends 11:59 pm ET on November 30, 2018 (the "Program Period").

During the Program Period, visit hub.united.com (the "Site"), complete all required registration information and accept these terms and conditions to obtain a copy of the "Rhapsody in Blue" sheet music composed by George Gershwin (the "Sheet Music"). You will submit a recording of the performance of your arrangement and/or cover version of the original composition based on the Sheet Music in audio and/or video format (the "Submission"). You may post the Submission on any social media platform so long as you tag the @united social handle and use the hashtag #RhapsodyRemastered. You shall not add lyrics to the Submission. Except as set forth in the foregoing, you may not release or use any portion of the Submission for any purpose on any medium or platform, digital or otherwise, and you may not distribute or use the Sheet Music for any purpose apart from creating the Submission.. For the avoidance of doubt, you may share access to the Sheet Music to those who may participate in the creation of the Submission. Select Submissions (based on originality and brand appropriateness), as solely determined by United Airlines, Inc., their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, suppliers, distributors, retailers of airline products; and advertising, promotional and judging agencies and/or its agencies ("Sponsor") may be used in advertising material or in-flight video content. There is no retail value associated with your Submission being selected. You will not receive compensation if your Submission is used. By sharing a Submission, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and that anyone depicted in your Submission is 18 years of age or older and agrees to the Submission.

You agree the Submission shall be considered a work specially made for Sponsor as a work made for hire under copyright law. If for any reason the work is held not to be work for hire under copyright law, you hereby sell, assign and transfer all right, title, interest and ownership in and to the Work in Sponsor's name and for Sponsor's benefit and the exclusive, unrestricted rights to use your Submission. All rights associated with the Submission will be assigned to the Sponsor and you have no rights of usage therein. For the avoidance of doubt, all so-called publisher's and writer's share(s) will also be assigned to the Sponsor. By participating, you agree to waive any moral and intellectual property rights you may have to the Submission and agree that you will not receive any compensation or notification or attribution. By participating and submitting a Submission, you are also agreeing that Sponsor shall be deemed the author of the Work for all purposes. The Sponsor may use the Submission in any form or format and modify and create derivative works from the same. You acknowledge and agree that if Sponsor does use the Submission you shall not be entitled to any credit, consideration, notice or payments of any kind. You further grant the Sponsor permission to use your name and likeness(in Sponsor's sole discretion) to be posted online for consumers to view on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and other Sponsor-selected sites, in their sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to remove any posted Submissions at any time, in its sole discretion, even if the Submission has already been made available to the public. By participating, you agree to waive any rights you may have to the Submission. The Submission, or portion thereof, must not contain obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory or inappropriate content, or be disparaging to Sponsor, as determined in Sponsor's sole discretion. Submissions must be in keeping with Sponsor's image and may not be offensive, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, nor can it defame or invade publicity rights or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person's personal or proprietary rights. Participants may not copy or otherwise plagiarize the Submission from any source. All submissions must be the sole, original work of the participant. Any Submission or portion thereof that is, in the Sponsor's or its agencies' sole discretion, obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory, inappropriate, disparaging, offensive or contains proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity, or is otherwise objectionable, will not be considered accepted. Submissions should not contain any third-party materials or otherwise violate or infringe (or possibly infringe) any copyright, trademark, logo, mark that identifies a brand (other than United Airlines). Sponsor and its agencies may blur or black out the infringing material, in their sole discretion, for consideration to be posted. Participants acknowledge and agree that Sponsor and its agencies may use participant's name, likeness and Submission in their sole discretion and Sponsor and its agencies have the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote and otherwise use Submissions in any way it sees fit.

Any Submission not in compliance with the above and which does not meet the requirements of these Terms and Conditions will not be considered. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Program at any time at its sole discretion. Each eligible participant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its agencies, of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies and their respected employees, officers, directors, agents and assigns from any liability arising out of participation in the Program or the recreation of their Submissions, if applicable. By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Information collected by Sponsor in connection with the Program may be used by Sponsor and shared with third parties involved in administration of the Program in accordance with the online Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. The Sponsor and its agencies, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the Program or are otherwise in violation of these Terms and Conditions. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for late, misdirected, or incomplete activities; or computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions; or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Sponsor and its agencies assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from the Program. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is deemed to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the balance of the Terms and Conditions shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.

United named to Year Up Opportunity Hall of Fame

Since its launch 20 years ago, Year Up, one of our critical needs grant recipients, has helped more than 10,000 young adults gain access to corporate business and technical experience at large companies like United while offering the invaluable perspectives they bring with them.

On Wednesday, the nonprofit inducted United into its Opportunity Hall of Fame – a selection that occurs once every five years.

Year Up's mission is to help close the opportunity divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. Since 2018, our partnership has allowed talented student learners the opportunity to gain corporate business experience and technical skill training at the airline while bringing their unique perspectives to our United family and culture. One of those students is Emily Lopez, who graduated from the Year Up program in January 2019 and was hired to be part of the United family as an analyst in Revenue Management.

"I moved from Venezuela to the United States in July 2016 and being a young immigrant with no resources can be difficult to pursue a career in a new country," said Emily.

After learning about Year Up and ultimately being accepted into the program, Emily landed an internship with United, an opportunity she is very grateful for.

Although the coronavirus pandemic has made this year's partnership a bit more difficult, we continue to do our part to support the Year Up student learners. United Airlines Strengthens Global Network, Adding New Nonstops to Africa, India and Hawaii

CHICAGO, Sept. 9, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines today announced plans to expand its global route network with new nonstop service to Africa, India and Hawaii. With these new routes, United will offer more nonstop service to India and South Africa than any other U.S. carrier and remains the largest carrier between the U.S. mainland and Hawaii.

Starting this December, United will fly daily between Chicago and New Delhi and, starting in spring 2021, United will become the only airline to operate between San Francisco and Bangalore, India and between Newark/New York and Johannesburg. United will also introduce new service between Washington, D.C., and Accra, Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria in late spring of 2021. In the summer of 2021, United will fly nonstops four times weekly between Chicago and Kona and between Newark/New York and Maui. And starting this week, United, the airline offering more nonstop service to Israel than any other U.S. carrier, begins new nonstop service between Chicago and Tel Aviv, the only carrier to offer this service.

United's newly announced international routes are subject to government approval and tickets will be available for purchase on united.com and the United app in the coming weeks.

Offering nonstop service to three new destinations in Africa

United will become the only U.S. carrier serving Accra nonstop from Washington, D.C. and the only airline to serve Lagos nonstop from Washington, D.C., with three weekly flights to each destination beginning in late spring 2021. The Washington metropolitan area has the second-largest population of Ghanaians in the United States, and Lagos is the largest Western African destination from the United States. Now, with 65 different U.S. cities connecting through Washington Dulles, United will offer convenient one-stop connections to Western Africa.

United already provides seasonal, three-times-weekly service between Newark/New York and Cape Town. By adding new daily nonstop flights between Newark/New York and Johannesburg in spring 2021, the airline will operate more flights to South Africa than any other U.S. carrier, and will offer the only roundtrip, nonstop service from the United States to Johannesburg by a U.S carrier. These routes also offer easy connections for customers traveling to South Africa from more than 50 U.S. cities.

New nonstops to India from two U.S. cities

United has served India with nonstop service for 15 years and now builds on its existing service to New Delhi and Mumbai with two new routes. Beginning December 2020, United will introduce new nonstop service between Chicago and New Delhi and, for the first time ever, United customers will be able to travel nonstop between San Francisco and Bangalore starting spring 2021. Chicago has the second highest population of Indian-Americans in the United States, and customers from more than 130 U.S. cities can connect on United through O'Hare International Airport. Service from San Francisco to Bangalore connects two international technology hubs, broadening United's west coast service to India, which also includes San Francisco to New Delhi.

New nonstop service between Chicago and Tel Aviv

Beginning, Thursday, Sept. 10, United will start brand-new three-times-weekly nonstop service between Chicago and Tel Aviv. In addition to Chicago, United currently operates nonstop service between Tel Aviv and its hubs in Newark/New York and San Francisco and will resume service between Washington and Tel Aviv in October. The airline operates more nonstop service between the United States and Israel than any U.S. airline.

United expanding Hawaii service to the Midwest and East Coast

As customers look to resume leisure travel options, United will make it easier than ever to travel nonstop to Maui and Kona for the 2021 summer season. With the addition of new flights between both Newark/New York and Maui and Chicago and Kona, United will provide customers in the Midwest and U.S. East Coast with even faster and more convenient service to the Hawaiian Islands than any other airline.
