Raise a glass to veterans
In honor of Veterans Day, United Club customers can support military charities just by buying drinks all throughout the month of November.
We're selling a few special beers at the clubs this month from breweries owned by veterans. Dog Tag Brewing Foundation's Legacy Lager will be in our clubs at Washington, D.C./Dulles, Denver, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Honolulu, and Veteran Beer Company's Hooyah! IPA will be in our clubs in Chicago.
Beers will be sold for $4 and we will donate $1 from each beer to the USO, an organization that strengthens America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and the country throughout their service.
The breweries were started by veterans who are committed to giving back to veteran related causes. Dog Tag Brewing Foundation honors America's fallen warriors by partnering with Gold Star Families. Dog Tag Brewing, LLC donates 100 percent of its profits from Legacy Lager to benefit charities created or selected by Gold Star Families. The Foundation also offers free consulting to start new charities and improve existing charities that carry out remembrance projects.
Veteran Beer Company also gives a large portion of its revenue to veterans. Its mission is to change the momentum in veteran unemployment and suicide, and in addition to donating 10 percent of its sales to veteran charities; all of the company's employees are veterans.
We'll also be serving Patriot's Punch for $6 in all club locations. This cocktail combines Maker's Mark Bourbon, with lemon, orange and pineapple juices and Prosecco. We will donate $1 from the punch sold to Operation Homefront's Meals for Military, which provides holiday meal kits for military families in need.
As always, we're happy to welcome active military members into our United Clubs the same day they are traveling on United or United Express. Thank you to all of our veterans and active duty military.
